Edinburgh, Scotland

To wrap up my blog about top destinations to visit, my last destination is Edinburgh, Scotland. Edinburgh is a great vacation spot to visit in the summer. It is burrowed beside long-dormant volcanoes and is located around green moorlands. This city is so well-known for its staggering landscape that it has to offer. It is nicknamed The Athens of the North. Your initial impression of Scotland might be confined to bagpipes, kilts, and crests. One visit to Edinburgh will change that impression in a hurry. It is the second most-visited city in the United Kingdom. Edinburgh offers an abundance of things to do. History fanatics will enjoy Edinburgh Castle, Holyroodhouse Palace and other attractions found along the Royal Mile. Those in search of an authentic live-as-the-locals experience will find it in the outer-lying neighborhood pubs, shops and parks. Shoppers will find retail heaven in New Town; art lovers will enjoy the free National Gallery of Scotland; and those who are looking for theatre will meet their match at August’s Edinburgh Festival. This is a top destination for a reason. Tons of things to see and an abundance of things to do. Don’t miss out on a chance to vacation to Edinburgh in the summer.
